Caduceus Obelsik (2010)

This design seems completely natural and I have to scratch my head as to why I haven’t made something like this already.

To start, the reason I am making this obelisk is as a gift/trade to a friend of mine who is a gifted healer and to whom I owe much thanks and gratitude.

Having noble purpose in heart and mind, I set out to construct a most righteous mold or should we call it, chalice for this inspired creation.

The crystal chakra system is made of 7 double terminated Tibetan Quartz Crystals. They are all connected by 2 copper wire wraps. The red copper wire, wraps along the crystals clockwise and the purple wire wraps counterclockwise.

The copper wires are to imitate the flow of kundalini energy up and down the spinal column, or in this case, the main axis of the obelisk.

All the 7 crystals are of A+ quality, but the crown chakra is noteworthy because of its extreme uniqueness.

What sets this crystal apart is how it is a “skeleton phantom,” meaning that the 12 faces are not completely grown in leaving triangular indention on each face, on both sides of the crystal!

Given to us from antiquity, the caduceus is an excellent symbol that encapsulates the entire design of conscious manifestation, as well as the human energy system. Contemplating this it seemed appropriate to do a stylized caduceus in metal leafing. I went around the obelisk with more metal leafing to create contrast with the dark bronze obelisk core.

When it came time to cast the capstone, I opted for a nice Tibetan crystal surrounded with labradorite. Sticking with the principles of the Ida and Pingala, I wrapped the crystal with the counter spinning ends of a copper Tesla coil. The phantom Tibetan acts as the Sushumna center column.
